First day builds 🚧

The 4s wasted no time on the first day of school and got right to work doing what they do best - learning through play! In the block area, they were busy building, creating, problem-solving, collaborating, and turning their ideas into something they could see and touch. There’s nothing quite like watching their imaginations take the lead - and this is just day one✨

My favorite day of the year - Journal day✨

All year long, our four year olds have been filling these precious journals with artwork, stories, memories, and little pieces of their preschool days. Our teachers pour so much love and care into every single page, and today was finally the big reveal.

Watching the children flip through their journals together - sharing memories, telling stories, laughing, and remembering moments from the year - is something truly special.

These journals hold so much more than art projects. They hold growth, friendships, imagination, and the magic of being little. We’re going to miss these big kids so much 🤍

Why do we love our playground? Because it’s filled with endless opportunities for learning through play! Beyond the climbing and running, our outdoor space invites children to create in the art studio, explore in the mud kitchen, search for bugs, and engage their senses at the sensory table - just to and a few. Every corner encourages curiosity, creativity, and connection with nature 🌿

During these last few weeks of school, it’s always fun to bring back some of the children’s favorite activities from throughout the year. 4s South class absolutely LOVED having a hair salon in the dramatic play area, so the teachers decided to bring it back for one more round of fun! 💇‍♀️✨

Our students used the overhead projector to trace shapes right onto the wall — building early math, fine motor, and visual-spatial skills through play and exploration. Learning feels a little more magical when the whole classroom becomes the canvas.
