✨Today was the first day of our Teacher Appreciation Week—one week later than the national celebration, but right on time in true Greek fashion! The beautiful lawn signs were such a thoughtful surprise and the perfect way to kick off the week. And to top it off, we were treated to a delicious yogurt parfait!

🌹Happy Mother’s Day!🌺

This past Friday, we hosted a sweet celebration in honor of our amazing preschool moms! Our “Muffins with Moms” event featured muffins, coffee, and non-alcoholic mimosas, along with a table full of treats. The highlight of the morning? Each child painted a portrait of their mom—truly precious keepsakes filled with love.

✨🐣What a week!

We kicked off our week with a joyful Pascha celebration and an Egg Hunt, all thanks to our amazing PPO! The children had a great time playing, searching for eggs, and enjoying a delicious barbecue. It was a day filled with laughter, sunshine, and wonderful memories.🌞

✨This morning, our preschoolers attended Divine Liturgy, starting their day with prayer and reflection.

Later in class, they learned about the significant events of Holy Week through hands-on play and storytelling with Resurrection Eggs. This experience helped the children connect with the story of Christ's Passion and Resurrection.☦

With the assistance of the wonderful ladies of Philoptochos, we also dyed red eggs, preserving our beautiful Orthodox traditions within our school community.

It is a blessing to witness our children grow in faith through joyful and meaningful experiences.

✨What a beautiful day at our Parish Lazarus Retreat!

Our youth had a wonderful time making Lazarakia, palm crosses for Palm Sunday, and a special cross craft to take home.
Fr. Patrick taught a beautiful lesson and gave each child their Holy Week Passport—a fun and meaningful way to stay engaged throughout the week.☦

A big thank you to Fr. Dionysio, Fr. Patrick, and all our amazing volunteers who helped make the day so special!

✨Today at PCA, we learned about St. Lazarus and Palm Sunday! We explored these important moments of our Orthodox faith, bringing them to life through crafts and baking. We joyfully made Lazarakia, and with the help of the wonderful ladies of Saint Demetrios Philoptochos Elmhurst Philoptochos, the children created their very own palm crosses in preparation for Palm Sunday.☦

We are excited and ready for Holy Week, celebrating our faith, traditions, and hands-on learning. We love sharing these experiences with our PCA families and warmly welcome new ones as well!

We were so proud to see our Pythagoras Children’s Academy students participating in the Chicago Greek Independence Day Parade this past weekend! 🇬🇷✨

They represented our school with pride and joy, honoring the heroes of 1821 and celebrating our beautiful Greek heritage! 💙🎉
