The American College Theatre Festival proudly announces the 2026 National Individual Event Award recipients. These outstanding artists earned top honors in their disciplines and were selected to represent the eight ACTF regional conferences at the national level. This year’s finalists participated in professional development workshops and feedback sessions and were eligible in each discipline for honors, residencies, and scholarships.
“We are deeply grateful for the hard work of every institution, student, faculty member, staff member, and volunteer across our eight regions, said Katherine LeRoy-Lawson, ACTF National Chair of Building Opportunity through Leadership Development (BOLD). “ Under the American College Theatre Festival umbrella, our community came together under extraordinary circumstances to ensure this festival season flourished.”
ACTF offers significant gratitude to all the guest artists and award sponsors who support our national students every year. In particular we celebrate the League of Resident Theatres for sponsoring the ASPIRE Arts Leadership national fellowship and Jeff Whiting and the Open Jar Institute for hosting the virtual National Irene Ryan Scholarship Auditions and National Musical Theatre showcase.
“This season showcased exceptional talent and production work, LeRoy-Lawwson said. “We could not be more proud of this year’s recipients, and we remain committed to our work as theatre makers and, ultimately, change makers—because that is what theatre is all about.”
