Calling all high school seniors: the application for the 2027 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is NOW OPEN!

We will award 500 scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $30,000 over four years. No relation to the Elks is necessary to apply.

With this scholarship, students gain more than just financial aid—they gain an appreciation of service, a network of like-minded peers, and an for life.

The spotlight has been turned on to the State of Illinois this July.

Grand Lodge Convention this year is in Chicago and your help is needed.

This request is coming as a member because we are the ones to make this happen.

The Illinois Elks Association has been tasked with recruiting the volunteers to make the convention a success. I know it isn’t necessarily convenient but it’s only one or two days of a commitment to help out. In addition, your convention fee is waived by Grand Lodge.

This is a great opportunity to show the members attending how great the IEA is!

This Easter the Elmhurst Elks Lodge #1531 sponsored the Easter Bunny visiting the Alzheimer’s memory care unit at Encore Village in Schaumburg. Over 100 residents were treated to flowers 🌺 candy 🍬 and lots of smiles all around. This is our 9th year partnering with Friendship Village, ELKS CARE, ELK SHARE!

Today was our Annual Bikes for Kids Day. Several members from Elmhurst Elks Lodge #1531 met at Walmart, loaded up trucks and delivered 51 bikes and helmets to the Salvation Army center in Oakbrook Terrace. We are so grateful for our members that volunteer to make this happen.

Our ENF grants are yielding impressive results. With these grants, the funds raised at Everyone Thankful and our partnership with Sojourners Pub Church, as well as a grant from the Lorelai Foundation, we were able to pack nearly 350 turkeys, pies, 10lb bags of potatoes, stuffing, canned yams, corn, green beans, rolls, and Drug Awareness literature to provide Thanksgiving dinners to families in need.

Much of the food has already been unloaded at the Lodge in advance of this weekends Thanksgiving Basket project. Thanks to our Lodge officers who stepped up to handle this unexpected task today.

Friday, November 21, 2025 – 6:00 pm
Meet at the Elmhurst Lodge:
put together boxes
unload non-perishable food items from delivery vehicles
organize items


NEW TIME FOR SATURDAY!
Saturday, November 22, 2025 – 7:00 am
Meet at Elmhurst Lodge:
unload perishable food items from delivery vehicles
load boxes with frozen turkeys, potatoes, stuffing, canned vegetables, pumpkin pies, rolls, etc. (assembly line style)
coordinate quality control
load boxes into delivery vehicles

We hope you can help out on either or both days. We hope to feed nearly 400 families for Thanksgiving. Help us help those in need.
