Last week, John Lindemulder, Ken Lanning, and Jay Stob were recognized through an Honor Flight with Honor Flight Chicago. Honor Flight is a national program that flies veterans—at no cost—to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor, offering a long-overdue moment of recognition, reflection, and gratitude.
We are thankful for these men, and for all who have served, sacrificed, and stood in defense of others.

Congratulations to Joseph C. (J.C.) La Barbera on being named Northern Illinois University’s 2025 Lincoln Laureate — one of the highest honors given to graduating seniors across Illinois! 👏

At NIU, J.C. has excelled as an Honors Fellow and mechatronics engineering major, leading with both intellect and integrity. His groundbreaking research includes designing a Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller and developing a brain-controlled motorized wheelchair to enhance mobility through BCI technology.

Beyond the lab, J.C. serves as president of NIU’s Mars Rover Team, vice chair of the Engineering Student Advisory Committee, and trumpet section leader in the Huskie Marching Band. He’s also president of The Huskie Hunks a ca****la group and the Kappa Kappa Psi band service fraternity.

We couldn’t be prouder of how J.C. continues to lead, serve, and innovate — reflecting the very best of Timothy’s mission to ignite academic growth and inspire courageous leadership. ❤️💡

🌟 Outstanding Young Alumni of the Year 🌟

We are proud to honor Carl Miller ’17 as Timothy Christian Schools 2025 Young Alumni of the Year.

From class valedictorian to Hillsdale College, the University of Chicago Law School, and now clerking for a U.S. Court of Appeals judge, Carl has pursued excellence with faith at the center. He points back to his Timothy experience—teachers who invested deeply, friendships that endured, and chapel rhythms that anchored his walk with Christ—as a foundation for his calling in law.

Carl’s story is a reminder that academic excellence and a Christ-centered foundation go hand-in-hand. We celebrate his achievements and the impact he continues to make with humility and courage.

We are honored to name Tracey Jarzombek as Timothy Christian Schools’ 2025 Alumni of the Year—posthumously. Tracey’s fingerprints are all over our campus. Through her faithful leadership on the board, her quiet courage rooted in Christ, and her deep love for people, Tracey helped shape the Timothy community we cherish today.

She was a connector, a champion of young people, and a friend whose warmth made everyone feel welcome. More than anything, Tracey loved Jesus—and her life stands as a testimony to His grace.

We celebrate her legacy and honor her family with this award at Homecoming on Friday evening at 5:45pm.
