Congratulations, Cason Atkins! Cason has been named as an Outstanding Performer for his Vocal Solo performance of “O del mio dolce ardor”, at the UIL Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest. In addition to the Gold Medal he received for a Superior Rating on his solo, UIL also awarded Cason a State Champion Gold Medal for receiving the title of Outstanding Performer. The distinction of Outstanding Performer is only granted to the approximately top 2% of contestants at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest. There were about 20,000 entries in TSSEC this year. Tidehaven ISD, Tidehaven Choir, and Mrs. Culbreath are so proud of you, Cason! Roll Tide!! 🥇
