A bittersweet but proud moment in the dojo โ congratulating Adam Hinojosa on earning his Orange Belt! ๐ฅ๐งก
Adam tested and passed in June of 2026, right before his family embarked on a new adventure in New Mexico. While we're sad to see him go, we couldn't be more excited for what lies ahead.
In American Kenpo, the tiger and dragon represent two sides of the martial artist's journey. The Tiger embodies fierce power, raw strength, and relentless determination โ the warrior spirit that never backs down. Adam has embodied that tiger energy throughout his training. He approaches every class with seriousness, focus, and an intensity that commands respect.
But the tiger also reminds us of the importance of growth. A tiger can be reactionary and dangerous without the control and wisdom that comes with time. That's where the journey continues โ and Adam has already shown he's on that path. His determination is unwavering, and his commitment to karate is something worthy of admiration.
As Adam carries his Orange Belt into this new chapter, I know that same fierce determination will serve him well in New Mexico. New challenges. New training partners. New adventures. But the same relentless spirit that earned him this belt will carry him forward.
