As we start the New Year, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all those who have been part of our Learning to Grow story. 2025 marked another major milestone in our growing business as we opened our 3rd site and welcomed a whole new group of families and staff to our LTG world.
The families we serve are the joy of our business, but our staff team is the heart and soul of making it all possible. This group of incredible women (men are always welcomed to apply😊), love on, clean up, care for, snuggle, pick up after, bandage, cheer on, feed and provide endless assurances, every day, hour after hour! Their heart for the littles they lovingly call "their own" inspires me!
For some context of the work these ladies do, this last month between our 3 sites, they collectively cared for 212 individual children for a total of 15,938 hours of care! We served 7083 meals and snacks and did unimaginable number of diaper changes and hand washes! Our staff team grew to 51 people (a creative mix of part and full time) for a total of 9272 payroll hours.
All of this has been made possible by a shared vision and commitment to child care from the local and state level. We have forged incredible community partners who have championed our growth and we’ve been the thankful recipients of highly competitive grants to assist with new facility construction.
Recently, there have been concerns about the need for and potentially fraudulent activity of child care centers. While this is something that should be investigated and corrected accordingly, Learning to Grow is proud to be a thriving partner with other area providers, helping to meet the REAL childcare needs of Grays Harbor.
Again, we can not say thank you enough to all the families who trust us to serve their most precious treasures and our advocates both locally and beyond. Our goal will be to continue to get better at the important job we do- growing little brains and hearts is no small task, but we are honored to be given the challenge! As we look to 2026, we are excited to see the next chapter unfold and are thankful for all of you who have shared kind words, championed the importance of the work we do, challenged us to keep growing and supported us along the way!
