We were super excited and honored to have two special guests visit us today on behalf of US Senator Patty Murray’s office, Catalina Amortegui (WA regional director)and Abby Laver (DC Education Team). We were able to give them a tour of our beautiful facility and showcase what community partnerships and braided funding can accomplish for working families!

We also had the opportunity to highlight the challenges families and providers face for accessing and sustaining childcare. We shared the message that the overall cost of care is too great for families to pay and for providers to absorb- we need support to find cost saving measures to stretch private and public tax dollars further without compromising care. It’s a critical conversation we are excited to get to be part of advocating at the federal level.

Thank you Senator Murray and team for listening and advocating for kids and working families!

At LTG, we do our best to embrace the teaching practices of Conscious Discipline. It is a powerful mindset for teaching children HOW to behave and manage their worlds in relation to others. There are great resources available for families and we encourage everyone to follow them! Raising children who have the skills they need to successfully socially navigate their world takes a village! Here's a powerful tip for this week!
