Here Comes the Bus App Information 🚍

Here Comes the Bus is a free, school bus tracking app that gives families real-time bus location information and alerts to get students to the bus stop on time.

Steps for downloading the app:
1. DOWNLOAD THE APP
Search “Here Comes The Bus” in the App Store or Google Play Store.

2. ADD YOUR STUDENT
Add your student using their UID number found in Infinite Campus.

3. FIND THEIR BUS ON THE MAP
See your student’s bus location in real-time and know when it’s arriving. (Once bus routes are available).

Good Evening,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Gardners Elementary! We are busy preparing to welcome students back to school on Monday, August 24th. Families can visit our website, social media pages, and ClassDojo to review the school supply lists for each grade level. We will hold two open house nights before the start of the school year. We invite our kindergarten families to attend our kindergarten open house on Tuesday, August 18th at 6:00 pm. We ask that all kindergarten families arrive at 6 pm to meet with their student's teacher. The open house for 1st - 5th-grade students will be on Thursday, August 20th. This open house will be a floating event from 4 pm to 6 pm. In addition, please encourage any community members who have students who are eligible to start kindergarten this year to go ahead and enroll them as soon as possible. If you plan to volunteer at school or attend a field trip with your student, you must be cleared in the district Volunteer Tracker system. You should visit the WCS website and complete the information. It can take up to four weeks to process, so complete the registration now so that you are eligible to attend field trips and volunteer at school. We are looking forward to a great school year and appreciate your support. Go Cubs!

Students are invited to participate in the Warbirds Science of Baseball program powered by Johnson & Johnson! 🔬⚾

Have you ever wondered why some bats hit farther than others or what role friction plays in baseball? This unique opportunity allows students to explore the science behind the game while making real-world connections between physical science and baseball.

Participants will receive:
• Expanded knowledge of how Physical Science relates to baseball
• A certificate of completion
• Two tickets to a Wilson Warbirds game upon completion
• The opportunity to experience batting practice like a Warbirds player

This engaging program combines STEM learning and sports to help students discover how science impacts every aspect of the game.

🍋🍿 A huge thank you to our PTO for treating our staff on Thursday to Post-its, popcorn, and a lemonade truck during Teacher Appreciation Week!

A special thank you to Big Tone’s Concession for providing the lemonade. They were so kind, and the lemonade was delicious! 💙💛 We truly appreciate all the support shown to our teachers and staff.
