Ellsworth Community School "Small School Relationships ... Big School Opportunities."

Ellsworth Community School is a small rural PK-12 public school district located in northwest lower Michigan. We offer small class sizes and individual attention, while still maintaining educational programming found in much larger districts. Selected as a State of Michigan REWARD school and nominated Academic State Champions by the Center for Michigan, we offer students the best possible academic experience. In addition our award winning Lancer Leap program offers students in grades 6-12 the opportunity to participate in hand-on classes such as Canoe Building, Broadway Theater, Robotics, Jazz Band, Photography and Creative Writing, and many more. To schedule a tour, or for more information about the outstanding educational experiences we provide please call the office at (231) 588-2544.

Ellsworth middle school art students were challenged to draw a candy inspired shoe. Mrs Gransow then had them all displayed for staff and students to judge. Results are in, and the top three winning shoes are SO COOL! Creative students are plentiful at ECS!

When you pick up an apple at the grocery store, you’re seeing just one small part of its journey!

This month, Ellsworth FFA is exploring the journey our food takes from the farm to our tables. We’ll be looking at the people, careers, businesses, transportation, processing, and technology that help move food from where it is grown to where we purchase and enjoy it.

Our food doesn’t simply go from farm to grocery store—there are many steps along the way, and each one plays an important role in getting safe, quality food to consumers.

Follow along this month as our students and uncover the story behind the food we eat every day!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Pancake Breakfast on Saturday! We truly appreciate everyone who came out, enjoyed breakfast, made a donation, and supported our students.

All proceeds from the breakfast will help our Junior and Senior students earn money toward their upcoming Washington, D.C. trip. Your support helps make this experience more affordable for our students, and we are grateful to our school families and community members who continue to support them.

If you were unable to attend the breakfast but would still like to contribute, donations are still welcome!

Donations can be dropped off at the Ellsworth High School Office or mailed to:
Ellsworth High School
9467 Park Street
Ellsworth, MI 49729

Thank you again to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, or helped make the breakfast possible. We appreciate your support of our students and their Washington, D.C. adventure!
