It is with great pleasure, mixed with emotion, that I will be leaving HCTC to assume the position of assistant principal with Ellsworth Elementary Middle School. It has been an outstanding past 10 years at HCTC and I want to say how much of an honor it has been to teach the students of Hancock County the trade of law enforcement. I am very proud of each and every one of my students who persevered through the program and have gone on to serve in the capacity as an officer.
The time has come however, to move on and serve the citizens of Hancock County in a different capacity. I am very enthusiastically looking forward to getting to know all of the students and staff at EEMS and am humbled to be able to support them in any way I can. I will certainly utilize the knowledge of CTE that I have garnered over the past decade to better serve our students as they move through adolescence and develop into young men and women. Therefore, I will assist them in making career choices that are best suited for them as individuals.
If there are any officers, retired or active that know of anyone who would be great in working with students and willing to accept the challenge of assuming the role of instructor, please pass this information along to our Director, Mrs Amy Boles, by calling HCTC at 667-9729.

As a former law enforcement officer you always feared that one day you would hear that a fellow brother was called home to protect us from above. Today I received the news that not only was it a "brother" of mine, but worse yet, he was family. Luke Gross, you not only were a phenomenal officer that lived your life according to the code of ethics, but were an outstandingly devoted family man. Your loss is huge and will not be forgotten. Thank you for everything you have done for our profession and family. We've got your 6 from here. God speed!
I hope all of my students are enjoying their time off to rest, relax and recharge, including those alumni students who are in college! Be careful and have fun with all your summertime festivities.
I am so very proud to announce that our 2019 graduate, Hunter Fernald, has accepted a conditional offer of employment with the Hancock County Sheriff's Department as a patrol deputy! Congratulations, Hunter!

It's ugly sweater day today at HCTC. Our year two students feeling the festiveness of the season!
It's not very often that Maine loses an officer in the line of duty, and typically the loss is the result of an accident or medical condition. Very rarely is a Maine officer's life taken in a violent manner, however this morning that changed. A suspect by the name of John Williams decided to take the untimely life of Somerset County Sheriff's Deputy, Cpl. Eugene Cole. I hope the suspect is caught in a timely manner. One day he'll have to face the consequences of his actions and may he forever burn in HELL! Prayers go out to the family and law enforcement community who may have known the officer. R.I.P. Cpl Cole, you may now protect us in Heaven!
