HCTC students strike gold at SkillsUSA conference Eighty-five students from HCTC attended the conference on March 12 and 13, competing in disciplines ranging from biotechnology to restaurant service to criminal justice.

A HUGE thank you to our core four community partners — Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Stanley Subaru, Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, and Coastal Auto Parts - NAPA — for once again making our March PD Day feel special. They even came back on Tuesday for our hard-working HCTC staff! 🙌💜

This year, aside from the tremendous spread we’re gifted, these four plus 18 other amazing local businesses stepped up and created amazing gift baskets for our seven retiring educators — a heartfelt thank‑you for their years of dedication to Ellsworth students and schools. We are so grateful to be part of a community that makes celebrations like this possible. 🎁✨

The SkillsUSA competition concluded on Friday, March 13th, and the Hancock County Technical Center's students returned home with 50 medals!

Skills USA results will be posted in the coming days. But for now, to our team, to our students, I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and professionalism on display this week.
Congratulations on choosing to take on this challenge on top of everything else that you’re involved in. From our students to our advisors, this is an intense amount of work, and I love that you choose to take that on, and you prepare, show up, and give it your best. That is simply beautiful.
