🎶✨ We're excited to shine this month's teacher spotlight on our music teacher extraordinaire, Ms. Melody Perrin. Ms. Perrin holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University and is certified in Neurologic Music Therapy through Colorado State University. This is her fourth year sharing her love of music with our students!

🎤🎵 From singing and playing instruments to learning to read musical notation, Ms. Perrin makes music come alive in the classroom! She also prepares our students for special performances throughout the year, including our Christmas Program, spring concerts, and ukulele performances.

✝️💙 Ms. Perrin loves helping students deepen their understanding of Jesus through music, whether they’re singing, dancing, or playing an instrument. Her greatest hope is that every child leaves her classroom with “an endearing, lifetime of getting to know Jesus.”

Please keep the Pechacek family in your prayers as they grieve the loss of their sweet Louie. 💙 Louie brought so much joy and so many smiles to our St. Francis School community, and he will be deeply missed. 🙏

Please keep the family and friends of Louie Pechacek in your prayers as they mourn the heartbreaking loss of their precious eight-month-old son. Though his time here was far too short, Louie brought immeasurable love and joy to those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Francis Parish to celebrate Louie's life.

🌟👨‍🎓 We're proud to shine the spotlight on St. Francis School alumnus, Lars Loberg! For Lars, St. Francis School is where his faith took root, lifelong friendships were formed, and important lessons helped shape the man he is today.

🎓⚖ After graduating from St. Francis School in 1995 and Ellsworth High School in 2001, Lars attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where he earned a degree in Environment and Natural Resources in 2005. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2008 before returning home to Ellsworth to practice law alongside his dad and brother at Loberg Law Office.

✝⛪ Some of Lars’ fondest memories include the annual Christmas Programs and serving Mass with Father Donaldson. But one particularly memorable experience involved a much less anticipated trip home from school!

❤️🙏 As a third grader, Lars asked Sister Lucy for permission to use the restroom shortly after recess. When she said no, Lars responded disrespectfully and was sent home for the day. The next day, he sat sobbing with Fr. Donaldson. Fr. Donaldson put him at ease by sharing a few stories from his own childhood, including smoking ci******es and jumping off boxcars. He reassured Lars that he was a good kid, leaving him relieved and comforted. Looking back, Lars considers the experience one of the most significant of his childhood, teaching him important lessons about respect and accountability.
