The Center has classrooms, a theater, a conference room, an atrium, a gymnasium & cafeterias available for community usage and rentals.
The Moore Community & Conference Center is a collaborative effort between the City of Ellsworth, the Down East Family YMCA and Friends in Action. The Center is located in the center of Ellsworth. The newly renovated facility has retained much of the historical building, Ellsworth’s first High School, with bright, modern additions perfect for hosting meetings and parties. The YMCA preschool children joined Carl today and began planting in the raised beds at the center. The childcare and Friends In Action will be working together to plant, grow, nurture and harvest the garden this season. Funds through a grant have made this possible. We can’t wait to see this project continue.
