Thank you to everyone who came and supported us today. We will be back at it tomorrow morning at Regional Tennis and at little kids football! So come visit us at either location.

My favorite is the hummus box. Homemade hummus is the best!

Now for my favorite drink I would have to go with the “Homolka” it is a brown sugar pumpkin spice coffee that is absolutely delicious 🤤

The next Take n Bake for the school year will be a new one, Sheet Pan Fajitas.

📚 Human Growth Project Spotlight! 📚
Human Growth students have completed their first big project of the semester!
Each student brought in a favorite children’s book and created two extension activities based on the story. They also had to identify the appropriate age group for the book, explain how their activities connected to learning, and identify the developmental skills children would practice through each activity.
I was so impressed with the creativity they showed! They came up with some amazing ideas that turned favorite children’s books into meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.
It’s always fun to see students take something as simple as a children’s book and discover just how many opportunities there are for learning, development, and creativity!

It’s been another busy week in the FACS classroom!

The 7th graders wrapped up their Bisquick labs by making churros, breakfast casserole, and potato pancakes. They’ve been busy learning, cooking, and of course taste-testing!

☕ The coffee shop continues to be a HUGE hit! Major props to the four students running it, they are doing an amazing job! So proud of the work they’ve put into making it successful.

🥨 Baking & Pastry officially kicked off their yeast unit, starting with homemade pretzels! The one independent culinary student, and he learned how to make deep dish pizza.

Culinary 1 and Culinary Essentials learned how to make homemade Pop-Tarts. If you’ve never tried to make homemade pop tarts, you really should you won’t regret it. Also had to throw on a picture of what it looks like when you don’t Measure ingredients right just to show you not everything turns out perfectly in our classroom.

Human Growth & Development has been busy working on their book extension projects. Can’t wait to share some of them with you next week because they have come up with some really cool ideas!

❤️ FCCLA is gearing up for football concessions tomorrow and will wrap up ticket sales for our Mexican Meal Giveaway next week!

FCCLA will have concessions this Saturday for CKFL football.

Come cheer on the youth football team and eat some delicious food. It’s a win win!

We even have a new dish breakfast totchos
(tater tots, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, and cheese with salsa and jalapeños if you want)

We will be open to start serving at 8:30.

Another busy week in the FACS room!

We tried out a couple of new creations in our coffee bar this week—Cocoa Puff and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Both are definitely KEEPERS! They were SO good! ☕️🥤

During Homecoming week my group rotations also worked hard prepping cookie dough and rolling cookie balls for the freezer. We’ll be able to pull them out and bake them fresh for Parent-Teacher Conferences. We made enough cookies to provide treats for all three buildings in our district! 🍪

We even managed to squeeze in time to cater some food for Cashco!

Lastly, A HUGE thank you to a group of students who stopped in the middle of their own projects to help finish our new flags for the football games: Addy, Cagney, Abigail, Bryson, Mykenna, Reese, and Dannie.

Sewing with flag material and learning how to use new tools and equipment is no easy feat, but these students jumped in, figured it out, and got the job done. Their willingness to help is appreciated and am so proud of how the flags turned out!

Just another week of learning, creating, helping others, and staying BUSY in the FACS room! ❤️🖤
