Here is the camp Discovery welcome letter and open house flyer for those families that didnโt not get it via email. We apologize for anyone who did not receive it as we are trying to streamline communication through our Daxko Engage system but we are learning that it did not send to all families, we are working to fix that.

Camp Discovery is coming to life! ๐ฒโ๏ธ
Our staff have been hard at work getting camp ready for another incredible summer โ from cleaning cabins and preparing program areas to the very important task of quality-testing the hammocks. We're happy to report they passed inspection. ๐
We also discovered that we're not the only ones getting ready for the season. A proud mother goose and her goslings stopped by to supervise the work (and maybe check out the waterfront).
We can't wait to welcome campers back to Camp Discovery soon!

Please join us in congratulating our Senior Program Director, Zach Ames, and his wife Sarah on the arrival of their beautiful daughter, Lucy Jane Ames!
Lucy officially became our newest YMCA member this week, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome her to the Y family. We have a feeling she'll be spending plenty of time around the pool, gym, camps, and programs in the years ahead.
Congratulations, Zach and Sarah! Welcome to the world, Lucy Jane! โค๏ธ

Huge shoutout to Robin and Heidi for an incredible weekend of representing the Y spirit! ๐ฅ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
On Friday, they participated in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, and on Saturday they tackled the Old Port Half Marathon.
As an added bonus, they even "ran" into former Dolphins coach Aaron along the way!
We're proud of your commitment to healthy living, community involvement, and supporting great causes. Way to go, Robin and Heidi!

๐ To the Class of 2026 ๐
To the seniors graduating from schools across Hancock County and beyondโwe celebrate you, and we are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished. โค๏ธ
For many of you, your journey with the Y began years ago. You came through our doors as children in our early learning programs, campers at summer camp, swimmers learning their first strokes, and participants in youth sports. Over time, you became leaders.
You became lifeguards keeping our community safe. Swim instructors helping the next generation gain confidence in the water. Front desk staff welcoming members with a smile. Coaches, officials, volunteers, and role models who made a difference every day.
As we celebrate 65 years of serving our community, we are reminded that the true strength of the YMCA is not found in our buildingsโit is found in people like you. You are part of a legacy that is deeply rooted in community and continues to grow for generations.
Thank you for the countless ways you have contributed to the Down East Family YMCA. Your leadership, compassion, work ethic, and commitment to others have helped shape our Y and inspire those who will follow in your footsteps.
Wherever your next chapter takes you, know that you will always have a home at the Y. ๐
Congratulations, Class of 2026. We can't wait to see what you do next.
