Healthy kids learn better. 🌿
At Knox, we believe a child's health and well-being are an important part. That's why we're intentional about creating an environment that supports the whole child—physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
From using plant-based, non-toxic cleaning products to thoughtfully considering the foods we serve, we're committed to making everyday choices that reflect our heart for children's health. We believe the environment children learn in matters, and we're continually looking for meaningful ways to help every child thrive.
We're also excited to share that we've recently made several enhancements to our sensory supports! Along with updates to our sensory room, we've added a VibraTec whole-body vibration plate to Thrive Behavioral Health to expand the movement and regulation options available to students who may benefit from structured sensory input as part of their individualized programming.
Originally developed through NASA research to help address the effects of reduced gravity on the body, whole-body vibration technology has since been studied in rehabilitation, fitness, and pediatric settings. We are thankful for access to this new tool that can be thoughtfully incorporated into individualized care when appropriate.
And we're just getting started.
Our vision for Knox continues to grow as we explore new ways to create an environment where children can flourish. We look forward to sharing more exciting health and wellness initiatives in the months ahead as we continue building a school where every child is supported, encouraged, and given opportunities to thrive.
