Norbert Blei Writing Workshop at The Clearing Folk School For 40 years Norbert Blei was the writer-in-residence at The Clearing Folk School in Door County, WI. Both will conduct manuscript reviews.

With his passing, The Clearing honors his legacy by continuing his renowned writing workshop under his students Albert DeGenova and Susan O'Leary. The week-long writing workshop is set on a bluff overlooking Green Bay in a natural landscape shaped by famed landscape architect Jens Jensen. The writing workshop designed by Norbert Blei offers an overview of creative writing for beginners and in-dept

h discussions/manuscript reviews for more advanced writers. The class is intended to ignite the writing process with writing prompts, readings, and discussion. The workshop is held in mid-June and includes the class, lodging, and meals. Next year Albert will teach the beginning section of the class with seminar discussions of "Spontaneous Poetics and Bop Prosody" and Susan will teach "Zen and Writing."
