As many of you know from this morning at the high school and other posts on Facebook, I have decided to stand down as the head boys soccer coach at GHS. I wish Taylor all the best and I am happy that the program is in safe hands. I have had a great run and have been blessed to coach so many great young men. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement over the last 8 years.

Thanks for all the support tonight those seniors had an emotional end to their evening and it was both difficult and encouraging to see. To be honest it would worry me more if it meant nothing to them but it clearly did. We have done our best to help turn these boys into responsible young men who are clearly a credit to their families and our school. When I know who we have and when we play I will let you know.

A 3-1 win at Lumpkin last night takes the boys to an all time record breaking 5-2 region record in Gilmer Soccer History. Now we wait to find out our state playoff opponents. Proud of these young men their hard work and determination is a credit to them.

Last region game tonight at Lumpkin. We should know more details about state play offs later this week. Our final home game will be at home on Thursday against LFO. Come out and say goodbye to us and wish us well for state.....
