Good afternoon😊 We are looking forward to seeing everyone for registration this coming Sunday, July 24, 3-5pm. Please come ready to pay entrance fee of $375. (If not paid at registration it increases to $400.) Also, we have a whole lot of preloved JECS polo shirts sorted by size that will be available for FREE (all sizes available). Please take as many as you will for the whole year and next!!! There are also 20 or so long sleeve school shirts and 10 or so that don't have JECS on them that I would love to go home with someone too.
There is also a table with some white t-shirts for tie dye available for free (mostly small sizes). Have a wonderful weekend! See you Sunday😊

Dear parents and friends of J.E.C.S.:
This coming weekend, we will be having a yard sale benefitting both our school and the church that sponsors our school.
The sale will run from 8am to 3 or 4PM on Friday the 11th and 9AM to 2PM on Sunday the 13th. So, if you would be willing and able to help, here are some of the needs we have:
THURSDAY: Mr. Skaggs and Mr. Bentjen (our school board chairman) will be organizing the gym and setting out items for pricing. Mr. Skaggs will be here early (around 8AM) to start the process and will continue throughout the day, with Mr. Bentjen’s help, until things are ready for Friday morning. Organization of items, pricing, and general setup help is needed.
FRIDAY: We will begin selling at 8AM, so people will be needed to help answer questions, take money, be helpful with getting items to vehicles, and just be a friendly face for our school.
SATURDAY (SABBATH): Rest
SUNDAY: Same as Friday… we’ll be selling and then after 2:00 or so, getting the gym back in order for the students’ use.
We will take any sellable donations you may have this week as well. If you’d like to contribute to the sale, this would be much appreciated!
If you could help out during any of these times, that would be great. Just text Mr. Skaggs at 770-634-3075 when you would be willing to participate.

Hello! Just wanted to give everyone an update.

1) Remember that we have registration July 19 from 3-5PM. If you absolutely cannot be there then, please contact me so we can set up an alternate time.

2) I had a meeting yesterday with other principals from our conference to talk about opening school in the fall. So far, there is nothing to prevent us from meeting in person, so that is still the plan, yay!! I will be talking to the school board over the next couple of weeks to refine our plans that will help to keep our students, staff, and volunteers as safe as possible. Once we have the plans more solidified, we will make sure you have the information and can know what to expect. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you at registration!

Dear JECS family,

As you know, much has happened in our world at large and within our local community since we were last in session. Our return to school date has become a moving target, it seems, and can change by the minute. At the time of this writing, we will not be able to return to school before April 13th. This means that we will be transitioning to an online/distance learning program, beginning Monday, March 30th. We will continue with the online/distance learning program until we can safely and legally return to the school building.

We are here for you, and the teachers will continue to provide instruction and support during this time. The location of our school program has temporarily changed, but our school program will continue. Some adaptations will be necessary due to the nature of online/distance learning, but we will still be providing a quality, Christian education for our students. Please check your child’s class page daily, as that will be the best way to communicate and stay informed.

Good evening! Gilmer County Schools, after conferring with Emergency Management, just stated that there will be no school tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, due to incoming inclement winter weather. As our policy is to follow what they do, JECS will not have school tomorrow, either. Stay safe and we will see you on Monday!
