This award recognizes a BOCES, trade school, or high school student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to safety in the excavation or construction fields. As part of the award process, students complete UDig NY’s Certified Excavator in Safe Digging Best Practices program and submit a personal narrative essay about their future in the excavation industry and the importance of safety.

Parker’s dedication to learning, safe work practices, and his future in the Natural Resources/excavation field made him a deserving recipient of this recognition and monetary award.
