BALTIMORE, MD (January 15, 2025) – Attorney General Anthony G. Brown is warning consumers to beware of fraudulent charities and scams when donating to the relief efforts to help ease the devastating impact of multiple wildfires that are currently burning large swaths of the Los Angeles region in California.

Many individuals are eager to help those affected by this unprecedented disaster by making donations. Unfortunately, scam artists often take advantage of disasters like these to set up fake charities and exploit your goodwill, so you'll want to be on the lookout for fraudulent charities and other scams.

Before donating any money to a charitable organization, check to see if the charity in which you are interested is registered with the Maryland Secretary of State’s Public Registry. Donate to well-known national or local charities with experience in disaster relief. Several websites (such as GuideStar and Charity Navigator) provide information on an organization’s financials, mission statements, and more. This information may help you decide how to divide up your giving. Bogus charities frequently use names and logos that are slightly changed but resemble well-known, legitimate organizations.

Lakefront Summer Festival is Back
Columbia Association (CA) has brought back free movies and concerts to Downtown Columbia Lakefront. Join the fun and listen to Damon Foremen, Kaleidoscope or Cadillac Jump Blues. We are vaccinated and followed CDC regulations. Extended the kids play area. Guiding kids how to play and sit in distance.
When parents join my facility, we spend a quality of time getting to know each other. I ask parents to set short term and long term goals for their children. Parents and I work together as a team to build the child's foundation. I believe in a healthy learning environment and also incorporate yoga, stretching, and mindfulness into my program. Daily Meditations help children focus on building their cognitive skills. Most important unconditional love I get from little ones, I can’t explain those moments.

Our child care facility is looking for a caring, compassionate Child Care Worker who has experience caring for children ages from six months to six years. We are committed to providing top quality care, fun teaching, educational and creativity-stimulating games and understands a constructive based learning approach and emphasizes the value of raising a caring but curious child.
