We were excited to welcome our second class of Howard County Police recruits to Linwood School for an afternoon of learning, connection, and collaboration.
Through shared activities and meaningful conversations, our students, staff, and recruits learned from one another while strengthening an important community partnership. Ms. Rebecca’s class participated in a meaningful service-learning project by creating Pantry Kits for Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center. Students prepared non-perishable food bags and hygiene kits containing essential items such as shampoo, soap, and diapers to support families accessing the organization’s 24-hour pantry. Excellent job, Ms. Rebecca’s class, for making a positive impact in the community and demonstrating the importance of helping others!

During 5/20-5/22, Linwood’s Adult Program staff attended MACS (Maryland Association of Community Services) Direct Support Professionals & Frontline Supervisor Conference in Ocean City, MD. Linwood’s very own Aletra Harvey was a 2026 Frontline Supervision award winner, and recognized as one of the very best in the field. Congratulations Aletra Harvey! We are so proud of your commitment, dedication, and care for our Supported Individuals, families, and Linwood staff.
