A few days ago, I decided to try reading one of my previous writings, The Acts of the Apostles. I enjoyed it so much that I finished reading Acts in three days. Whether it's reading or writing, every time I go through the Word, I see and discover something new.

This morning, I'll be reading the Gospel of John. I'm currently writing the Psalms, which at 150 chapters, is taking forever to complete. I'm currently at Chapter 98 and still have a long way to go.

For those of you that have endeavored to handwrite books of the Bible, how many of you actually use your writings to read the Bible?

I will confess that in the two years I have been writing books of the Bible, I never used the copies that I had written for my daily readings. Instead, I would use my store bought, printed KJV, large print Bible.

Yesterday, I grabbed my handwritten copy of Acts of the Apostles (written back in 2021) and began to read from it. I was surprised to see how fulfilling and more meaningful the experience was. I tried it again this morning and am finding that I retain more by reading my own copy.

What are your thoughts and experiences?

I just saw the movie, "Man of God" on YouTube (free with ads). If you're interested in seeing what a true man of God looks like, you'll enjoy this film. I highly recommend!

Psalm 90 and 91 (KJV). I'll be honest, scribing the Psalms has been rough. At 150 chapters, it feels like you'll never reach the end. It also doesn't help that I stopped writing for a few months. That was a big mistake.

I forgot how much peace it brings me to spend an hour or so each day writing God's Word. For Psalms, I imagine David sitting on a hill with a blank scroll and pouring his heart out before the Lord in his writings. The connection he had with the Lord is profound.
