Discovery Lab

Big questions. Real projects. Room to explore.

At Discovery Lab, kids don't just learn about the world. They investigate it, experiment with it, make things, share ideas, and discover what they're capable of.

We bring together curiosity, creativity, hands-on learning, and meaningful relationships in a multi-age community right here in Ellensburg.

We're welcoming a few more learners in grades 3–5!

Curious whether Discovery Lab might be a good fit for your family? Send us a message at [email protected] to learn more or schedule a visit.

We are learning about ants and how they build communities through art, science, literacy, math and lots of fun in our PK-2 classrooms.

We are loving our first Project of the year: What can insects teach us about how to build a community where everyone belongs, contributes, and grows?

A huge thank you to some fantastic community partners for helping to bring our Mars project to life. We were treated to a fantastic show at the CWU Planetarium . We also had an exciting visit from Payton Harvill , who shared some of her work in Astrophysics with our learners and gave them feedback on their ideas for growing food on Mars!
