A huge thank you to some fantastic community partners for helping to bring our Mars project to life. We were treated to a fantastic show at the CWU Planetarium . We also had an exciting visit from Payton Harvill , who shared some of her work in Astrophysics with our learners and gave them feedback on their ideas for growing food on Mars!

Watch out , our first and second graders are busy designing some spacecraft to land on Mars. They are learning about gravity, air resistance, and shock absorption to help them build their own Mars Landers.

We are having a Spring so full of learning and wonder. A huge thank you to@midcolumbiafish for another season of salmon in the classroom culminating with a fish release field trip full of hands-on opportunities for kids to get to know the life and land around them.

The Earth is our classroom, and stewardship is a lesson best learned not sitting still, but moving, exploring, and experiencing. Thanks to Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group for bringing us along on the journey to restore a local riparian zone with native plants.

DL learners have launched our final project of the year - into our Solar System. The kids are so engaged, and it's a great reminder of the power of Project-Based Learning. Currently, our older kids are building scale models of the solar system, and the youngers have spent the week learning about the sun and some of its incredible properties. The kids are thrilled that we have been able to follow NASA Artemis's launch alongside our own!
