Central Washington University Student Dance Association is a student run club hoping to increase the amount of dance opportunities on campus!

Hello everybody! We wanted to thank all of our club members, event attendees, and followers for making our school year so amazing! We loved getting to dance with all of you and are very appreciative that we were given the opportunity to be officers for this club. Unfortunately, we will not be active for the next school year due to lack of interest in the officer positions. However, we hope this club will be picked back up for the 2026-2027 season. With that being said, we have linked a video that showcases everything we have done this school year! We also have our officer elections video linked with funny bloopers at the end. 😂 Please go watch them if you are interested! We hope everybody has an amazing summer!

YOU’RE INVITED! The Student Dance Association will be holding an end of the school year party on Friday June 6th from 6:00-9:00 pm in the Nicholson Pavillion room 124. We will be watching a movie from the Step Up dance series and snacks as well as cupcakes will be provided. We hope you all join us one last time to celebrate our club and the end of a fantastic school year. See you all on Friday! 🥳

Our LAST class of the quarter and school year will be musical theatre! This class will be taught by Taylor Bir, and she will be teaching choreography from the recent production of Once Upon a Mattress. It will be on Monday June 2nd from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Nicholson Pavillion room 124. We are so excited to have this guest teacher and we really hope to see you all there! Come dance with us one last time!!! ❤️

Our last event this quarter will be swing and line dance! We are so excited to announce that we will have two guest teachers for this event. This event will take place Friday May 30th from 7-10 pm in the Nicholson Pavillion room 124. Entrance fee will be $5 if you are alone and $8 if you bring a friend/partner. We will learn swing and line dance for the first hour or so, and then we will have open dance time! We are SO excited about this event and we hope to see you all there!

Our next class will be Burlesque with Michelle, a teacher in town at The Studio (EDE)!!! This class will be next Monday (May 19TH) from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Nicholson Pavillion room 124. This will be a SUPER fun class so we hope to see you all there!

On Monday May 5th we will be holding a K-pop class! The class will be dedicated to Stray Kids in honor of them coming to Seattle in May! It will be in the Nicholson Pavillion (Room 124) from 6-7:30 PM. This class will be taught by our SDA secretary Hailey Samarel. Come stop by, it will be loads of fun!!!

Our next class will be Lady Gaga themed! We will be learning the dance to her new song Abracadabra. Our teacher for this class will be our club president, Brigid Garrett. Come ready to dance next Monday (April 14th) to the Nicholson Pavillion room 124 at 6 pm. We hope to see you there!!!

Come to our second line dancing event from 7-9 pm on Saturday April 19th! Taylor Bir will be teaching the first segment of the workshop, and the rest will be free dance time! 💜🤠
