CONGRATULATIONS TO KATIE RHEINSCHMIDT!
Katie has earned her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Central Washington, with a specialization in STEM Leadership.
Here is the part we love. Because of this degree, Katie is now teaching CWU College in the High School courses at Grandview High School, including Precalculus and Trigonometry. Her students can earn college math credit without leaving their own building, in a classroom with a teacher they already know.
She has been at Grandview for five years teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry, and coaching softball.
Katie’s STEM Leadership Portfolio reflects an educator who is passionate about creating meaningful STEM learning experiences for students. Key highlights from her portfolio include:
• Designing and implementing project-based STEM lessons that strengthen student engagement, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop cross-curricular learning opportunities and use student data to evaluate the impact of instruction.
• Building both formal and informal leadership relationships that support continuous improvement in teaching practices and student learning.
Great work, Katie. We are proud of you!
