The 5th graders read a story about Horace King, who designed and built truss bridges. Working in small groups, they were given 75 popsicle sticks, glue, and cardboard to design and build their own truss bridges. It was a great STEM activity!

ECHS senior, Evan Gough, currently has three pen and ink drawings on display and for sale at the Clymer Museum and Gallery. His work was selected by a jury for the museum’s first annual local artist holiday show. Evan’s piece “Strength” was awarded an honorable mention by the jury. Congratulations, Evan!

At ECHS students are encouraged to pursue their passions through classes offered and also through rigorous school-supervised independent studies. Evan has taken advanced courses in illustration and design as an independent study student at ECHS, and has also contributed his talents to designing ECS’s spirit wear the past two years. We love watching our students grow in their God-given giftings!

ECHS Winter Project-Based Learning Day and annual Christmas Party! Workshops this year included Marketing with Andrea Anderson, Haircuts with Alexandra Roan, Detective Work with Detective Jonathan Cooper, Wool-felted Ornaments with Grace Haddick, Winter Bears Artwork and Short Stories and Puzzles with Mrs. Gough, and Pickleball at the Armory with Mrs. Bissonette and John Ware. Students chose their schedule for the day and were inspired by the content shared by the fabulous guest instructors!
