All good things come to an end. It is with some sadness that I am closing the business, as I have taken a full time aviation job at a larger company.

It has been a great adventure running EburgAero, and I think the best part was meeting so many wonderful people.

To all my students and clients thank you so much for your patronage. Fair winds and blue skies.

As luck would have it the replacement motor for Little Bird came back home in my truck last week from Premier Aircraft Engines in Troutdale Oregon where it has been remanufactured. Due to parts availability issues the remanufacture took a year longer than I had hoped, however on the flipside the old motor kept right on working for several hundred hours longer than I expected. The timing is just about perfect.

The time has come to drain the oil from the heart of Litle Bird for the last time. This little O235 has been a trooper, and Ill miss it dearly....... Ok not so much, it has been a good little engine, and it still has remarkably good compression given it is coming up on TBO, but oil consumption has become excessive, and the frequency of spark plug cleaning due to fowling has become impractical. So it's time to remove it for evaluation and possible rebuild.
