Sunflower Preschool LLC Sunflower Preschool teaches children to love learning in a holistic manner. Katrina Douglas is the Owner & Lead Teacher.

We believe teaching life skills are equally as important as teaching ABC's & 123's throughout a child's growth. She has a teaching certificate in elementary education from CWU. She previously worked in the field of helping seniors for over a decade for the City of Ellensburg. Katrina, with her education, experience, and passion for teaching is a massive asset to children across the community. Lauren Pratt is the Teacher Assistant working side by side with Katrina. Lauren has a bachelors degree from CWU and has several years of experience working with children as a swimming instructor and nanny.

And just like that! We wrapped up another amazing season of Camp Sunflower! 🌻☀️

Yesterday was filled with lots of fun, memories, and a bittersweet goodbye as we wished Miss Jaiden good luck as she heads into her student teaching journey this fall.

We truly had the BEST summer at Camp Sunflower! From endless laughs and adventures to activities, games, splash play, art, and so much more.

My heart is full, my mind is happy, and my body is tired😂❤️.

Here’s to a week of relaxation and recharging… and then it’s time to get ready for another school year! 📚✏️

Until next summer Camp Sunflower! 🌻

Today was Miss Jaiden‘s last day with us. She has left her mark on many kids lives during her journey at Sunflower Preschool and Camp Sunflower over the last two years.

One of the beautiful things about living in a college town is the opportunity to mentor young people on their journeys to become professionals in their fields. While we will for sure miss her, we are excited for her next steps in her journey to becoming a teacher.

She will be doing her student teaching this fall with the Thorp school district, and then will move to Texas to be close to family and begin her journey as a teacher herself. We are excited for her next steps in her journey and the many young people‘s lives she will impact along the way.

Thank you for all you’ve done to help Sunflower Preschool and Camp Sunflower Miss Jaiden!

Our campers built parachutes out of pool noodles. Then tested them to see if they could keep their eggs from cracking! It’s a long video but fun to watch!
