Cecil College Art and Design Program This is the page for the Cecil College Art and Design Program and its galleries, Elkton Station Galle

The Art and Design Program reflects the philosophy that students achieve their best when developing creative, analytical and technical skills simultaneously. At Cecil, art instruction is based in traditional and contemporary approaches to specific disciplines
and encourages participation in group art exhibits. Foundation courses provide exposure to exemplary artists from a variety of cultures and historic periods. Courses also supply the vocabulary and technical skills to promote confidence in the pursuit of advanced, specialized courses and the development of individual artistic visions.

Un-Becoming is now on view at the Milburn Stone Gallery! Join us for a solo exhibition by Lindsay McCulloch, featuring mixed media paintings which explore autobiographical subject matter through abstraction and investigate themes of femininity, body, domesticity, craft, motherhood, and memory.

Through cutting, layering, folding, and building out surfaces, she visualizes the struggle to move past pre-existing structures and categories to exist freely in the moment.

The Cecil College Art & Design Program invites you to experience Garden of Dreams, a solo exhibition by Laura Douglas Howell.

Inspired by the color and shapes in nature, the works in this show evoke the emotion of sitting in a garden. Through abstraction, the artist uses a combination of shapes, movement, and riotous color to express the beauty and randomness of gardens and the many environments in which they exist.

📅 Exhibition Dates: June 12 – August 9, 2026
🎉 Opening Reception: Friday, June 12 | 6–8 p.m.
🗣️ Artist Opening Remarks: 6:30 p.m.

Join us for an evening of art, inspiration, and conversation as we celebrate this exciting exhibition.
