Racquel's Imagination Station Daycare I enjoy putting the learning through play practices gained during my education to use at my in home I'm Racquel, owner of Racquel's Imagination Station Daycare.

I have always had a passion for working with children while watching them learn and develop new skills. I obtained my Early Childhood degree in December of 2014 from Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls. Having my own children led me to become a stay at home parent and allowed me to pursue my dreams of having an in home daycare. I believe that children learn best through play. This allows most of our act

ivities to be child led. What does that mean in regards to your child's care? When the children show an interest in a certain topic, we will structure our activities and crafts around that topic. This encourages the children to stay focused on the topic while exploring more about it. Although child led activities are encouraged, we have planned activities that include bathroom breaks, lunch/snack times, as well as rest time. We engage all senses during our activities while using our large and small gross motor skills, manipulatives, and so much more! Some of the activities available to children include puzzles, art, dress up, blocks, baking, reading and song time, circle time.

Today is the final day of daycare, which brings both sadness and lots of excitement for coming days.

To celebrate and remember this great day we had to break out the ice cream and make sundaes for snack! 🍨

To all the families who used me for full time, part time, or drop in care...I thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your child's life for whatever period of time they were here. I wish you all the best in the future. ♥️

To all the family and friends who encouraged me during my daycare career, helped me, filled in for me, talked me through problems...thank you. 😘🥰

It's been a great 5.5 years...here's to the daycare door closing and new adventure opening. 🎉. Now go and get yourself a sundae!

Nothing I love more than setting out loose materials with a general idea of what we are making (today is masks!) And letting kids go to town!!

Their imaginations run wild,they have to think of an idea, plan,and carry out the plans in order to get the ending result they want.

I set out a TON of random paper scraps, googly eyes, glue,scissors, markers, pencils and they are in the process of doing the rest.

Process over product art. 🙌🤩

It's wacky Wednesday!!!

✅We were able to get outside this morning and took advantage of the cool air
✅We ate sitting on the floor and used our chairs as tables!
✅Our sandwiches were inside out...the bread was in-between meat and cheese..so wacky!
✅We had anything but plates!
✅We wore out clothes and hair all wacky and silly...m inside out, backwards, mismatch!

Sometimes when it's just too frigid to get outdoors, you have to bring the outdoors indoors!

That's just what we did when I filled up a big pan with snow and the kids went to work...first they used bare hands, and realized fairly quickly that snow is still cold inside! Who would've guessed?! So they decided to put on some mittens to keep their fingers warm while still being able to manipulate and play in the snow! 🤩❄️😁

It may be freezing outside but we are having a blast indoors!

It's a build and create morning! These boys are using their full imaginations, fine motor skills and manners all together so they can make amazing creations! 🤩🙌 They have duplo blocks, mega blocks, and magnet blocks all being used together.
