High Schoolers Earn FREE College Credit with CTE College Credit Program!

Are you a high school senior who has completed two or more years of Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses? Have you passed your CTE exams? If so, you can earn FREE college credit at Great Basin College!

Requirements to Receive CTE College Credits:

-Maintain at least a 3.0 GPA in your high school CTE program sequence (Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3).
-Pass the End of Program Assessment.
-Pass the Employability Skills for Career Readiness Assessments.
-Apply for CTE College Credit at Great Basin College and complete the General Application for Admission.

MTC DEADLINE MARCH 15th.
The deadline for MTC Applications is coming up! Make sure to submit your applications as soon as possible in order to be under consideration for the MTC Scholarship. MTC includes a $5,000 scholarship towards tuition and a paid internship during school, provided by one of our sponsoring Industry partners. This is a great opportunity for those of you who want to come to GBC and attend our Welding, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Diesel, or Instrumentation program!

It is time to start working on submitting your MTC Scholarship!

The MTC scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship that includes an internship with one of our supporting Industry Partners while you're attending a CTE program in Fall of '24. GBC will be hosting Application Assistance Days to help walk students and their families through submitting the application. They will be held at the following locations and times:
-Elko GBC Campus on 2/23 from 1PM - 4PM and 3/8 from 10AM - 2PM.
-Winnemucca GBC Campus on 2/27 from 6PM - 8PM.
