DOL-ETA Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC). This Program is 81% funded with Federal Money. The total federal funding amount is $750,000. 19% / $177,943 is funded by non-governmental sources. ARC Inspire. This program is 80% funded by ARC funding. The total funding from ARC is $446,980. 20%/$111,803 is fu

nded by other non-federal organizations. HRSA Rural Health Grant is funded 100% by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy. The total federal funding for this program is $1,544,883

Tenants Rights and Protection from Eviction: A free Virtual Workshop presented by Community Health Law Project (CHLP) & Affordable Housing Alliance (AHA)

🗓️ WED, APRIL 15th 6pm - 7:30pm

It can be difficult to know how to navigate working with your landlord if you are behind in rent or are concerned you may not be able to pay rent soon. Presented by the Community Health Law Project and hosted by the Affordable Housing Alliance, this workshop provides you with information about your rights as a tenant and manageable steps you can take to avoid evection.

✅ Learn your rights as a tenant.
✅ Gain insight on spotting important communications from your landlord.
✅ Get tips to resolve conflicts with your landlord BEFORE they file for eviction.
✅ Learn about the standard eviction process and what you can do to fight an eviction in court or settle an eviction outside of court.

Davis & Elkins College is hosting a ReEntry simulation event on Tuesday, April 7 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. This simulation and discussion will help residents learn more about individuals who have been previously incarcerated and the struggles they face day to day.

The hosts include Ashley Lough, a reentry and community outreach coordinator based in Wheeling, and D&E's Dr. Rhonda Engstrom.
