Thank you to ALL of our awesome parents who helped with the senior Sunset event last night. You guys are so generous & so willing to work hard for our kids. And the seniors had a great time!!

Here are just a few photos, but I will post ALL of the photos I took at the parade and also the Photo Booth photos once I have a chance to get them all uploaded, which will realistically be sometime after graduation tonight.

I have enjoyed serving with you all through the years. Elkin City Schools is truly a special family! 💙

Hey EHS senior parents!

Is anyone interested in helping to sponsor a Photo Booth for the senior sunset??

The cost is $350 for two hours of unlimited photos, boomerangs, GIFs & videos.

If anyone knows a business that might would sponsor, they can put their logo on the photo frames like this one attached.

This booth was set up on Friday at the EMS dance and it was a big hit with the middle schoolers.

The last week has certainly been a busy time for our EHS seniors! But senior life has finally started to slow down a little as their last year winds down. 🥹

Once again, a huge THANK YOU to all of our awesome parents who pitched in to help provide our seniors a delicious meal and a fun and relaxing afternoon at the senior picnic as they enjoyed the perfect and beautiful afternoon at the Elkin city pool! It was definitely a Good Time!☀️🕶️

A special thank you to Jennifer Kleinheksel for coordinating the meal. Also, a huge shout out to Combs Butcher Shoppe who donated all of our buns.

Sorry for the delay in posting, but as you all know, this has been a very busy couple of weeks at EHS. 🎓

Thank you to all of our parents who donated items and/or cash for our meals prior to all three productions of the senior play, and to those who came out and helped to serve the students. We have the most kind and generous parents who always come through for our students! 💙

Also, a special thank you to Jennifer & Brent Kleinheksel for hosting the cast party after the Sunday evening production. It was so refreshing to see the kids relax, play & truly enjoy each other’s company. 😊

Just a quick reminder of all the senior events scheduled for this week:

Thursday evening the senior athlete appreciation dinner will be from 4:30 to 5:30 PM in the EHS cafeteria. Students should have RSVP’d for this event a couple of weeks ago.
At 6 PM the senior awards ceremony will be began in Dixon auditorium. This is a great event, but is always a long evening, so be prepared. 

On Friday morning, May 15, the students will meet at 7:45am for their senior class walk-through at both the middle school and the elementary school.
Senior assembly will begin at 10 AM in Dixon auditorium. This is a very fun assembly! There will be a senior slideshow and an (always) funny presentation from the senior historians. We may be treated to one of their play production songs. They will also be presented with their senior yearbooks. The students will then walk over to the park to enjoy their senior picnic which will begin around 12 noon.  if you have volunteered to donate items to the senior picnic, please have them to the pool by 11:30 AM.

Sunday, May 17 will be the Baccalaureate service at Elkin First Baptist Church. Students will report at 2:30 PM and the service begins at 3 PM.

If you missed it last night, PLEASE be there today to watch as the EHS Class of 2026 presents, for the last time, The Little Mermaid, Jr.

We knew this was a smart & super motivated class. Who knew they had so much musical & theatrical talent???? Come out and support our awesome seniors!! 🧜‍♀️🫧🦀🌊
