Our FFA members have had an active week!
🌭 Monday we hosted an FFA Open House and had a wonderful turnout! Huge thank you to our Elkhorn FFA Alumni for providing the delicious meal and dessert!
🏆Tuesday our students enjoyed a visit from our Wisconsin FFA - Section 10 State FFA Officer, Owen, and participated in leadership, communication, and team building activities.
🍬 On Wednesday, Ms. Parsons' Food Science class made hard candy to learn about chemical reactions and then experimented with making gummy candy.
🍁 Thursday in Mr. Kruse's Forestry classes they collected seeds from trees and learned about forest insects.
🏈 Friday in Leadership & Communications class, students did an exact instructions activity where they had to follow the written instructions of a peer to decorate a cookie. After school FFA & DECA teamed up on Friday to host a tailgate for our organizations members before the home football game!

Don't forget to visit us on Tuesday, Oct. 13th at Culver's for our fundraiser!

Our Vice President of Growing Leaders was one of limited applicants selected to attend the National FFA Organizations Next Gen Conference and shared her experience with us: "I had the opportunity to attend the Next Gen Animal Systems Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, where I learned more about the agriculture industry. I learned how livestock feed is made, toured a pig operation, visited the new American Royal, and learned how AI is being used in cattle. I also gained insight into business practices and heard from industry professionals about their career journeys. Overall, the conference helped me expand my knowledge of agriculture and explore future career opportunities."

Thank you Ella for representing Elkhorn FFA!
