Mount Michael Benedictine School is a Catholic, college-preparatory residential & day high school. At Mount Michael the core of the academic program enables students to become inquiring learners, appreciative of their heritage, responsive and committed to the challenges of the future. At Mount Michael the monks, lay faculty, and staff instill the value of moral leadership so that they may live in harmony with each other, their families, and the community at large. At Mount Michael the search for God is fundamental to understanding the meaning of life; Christian charity is grounded in our relationships with ourselves, our families, and all whom we meet.

Yesterday, the Class of 2028 went on their junior retreat.

The group listened to a talk by teacher/alum John Roshone about building strong bonds with classmates, discussed their experiences as a class through the first 2 years, designed a "floor plan" that describes themselves, participated in a junior-led game of hide-and-seek, and decompressed during a grand silence.

This fall, Mount Michael students participated in their 5th season of Unified Flag Football with Madonna Unified.

The number of students interested in participating in Unified sports has continued to grow each year of the partnership. This year, the interest from Mount Michael students grew so much that we had double the number of Unified partners as we had Madonna Special Olympics Athletes.

Due to these amazing numbers, Mount Michael was able to provide Unified partners to a Bennington Buffalo Special Olympics team as well!

Both teams were able to practice together throughout the season, and Mount Michael students got to continue to grow their community to another group of Special Olympics athletes!

We are grateful to the Madonna community for partnering with us as we work to promote inclusion and acceptance whenever possible.
