🧠EAHS DECA & HOSA invite you to the Memory Mile— a student-led 5K run and mile walk dedicated to raising awareness and funds for dementia!

📅The event will take place at EAHS on Saturday, October 10, at 8:30 AM, bringing together students, families, and community members for a morning focused on supporting those affected by dementia.

💜Along with the 5K and mile walk, the event will feature guest speakers and educational resources to help spread awareness and provide information about dementia and available support. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Dementia Society of America.

THIS FRIDAY!!! Join us for an unforgettable night honoring our heroes! Hero Bowl 2026 • August 21 • EAHS Football Stadium • Elks vs. Comets

🎖️ Active & retired military and active 1st responders get FREE entry!
• Be one of the first 500 fans and receive a free USA flag!
🚓 Arrive early (6pm) to explore a display of Military & First Responder vehicles and enjoy concessions.
• The Elkhorn Legion, VFW, and Walworth County Sheriff’s Color Guard will present the colors, with police chiefs and Civil Air Patrol unveiling a giant American flag at center field.

📚 NOW HIRING: Special Education Teaching Assistants! 💜

Looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a difference in the lives of students every day? Elkhorn Area School District is seeking caring, dependable Special Education Teaching Assistants (Paras) to join our team!

🌟 What you’ll do:
• Support students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in special and general education settings
• Work alongside teachers to help students learn, grow, and succeed
• Provide academic, behavioral, social, and physical support based on individual student needs
• Assist students individually and in small groups
• Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging school environment

🗓️ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 hours per day

🎓 Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Education or experience working with children is preferred, but not required
• Must be able to obtain Wisconsin DPI Licensure #883
• Strong communication skills, flexibility, confidentiality, and a commitment to helping students succeed
