September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month - a time to raise awareness, promote hope, and normalize help-seeking. Not just during the month of September, but all year long, we want to encourage open conversations about mental health, help individuals recognize warning signs of su***de, and connect individuals who may be struggling to proven treatment and resources.
As a community, let’s continue a growing tradition and promote the second annual 988 Day on September 8, 2026. 988 Day raises awareness of the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline and the continued need for mental health support. The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline’s mission is to provide empathy, accessibility, and reliability within a nationwide network that works to reduce barriers and stigma around seeking support for mental health challenges.
