Building bridges and building bright minds! 🌉📐

Our Honors Geometry students in Mrs. Trevino's class are taking learning beyond the textbook as they design and build truss bridges! Through this hands-on project, students are exploring why triangles are one of geometry's most important building blocks.

As they construct their bridges, students identify the characteristics of different types of triangles, apply the rules of triangle congruence, and strengthen their step-by-step reasoning skills. These foundational concepts will also help prepare them for more advanced topics, including the Pythagorean Theorem, trigonometry, and logical proofs. Great job, Elks!

🎨 Art class is off to an exciting start at Elkhart High School!

Our Digital Art & Animation students are getting hands-on experience as they learn the basics of creating digital artwork. For one of their first assignments, students brought their summer memories to life through their own original drawings using the app! ☀️🖌️

Meanwhile, other students are putting their creativity on display by designing unique window-panel artwork for classroom door windows. The best part? They got to choose their own themes and let their imaginations lead the way!

We love seeing our students explore, create, and discover new ways to express themselves. Great things are happening in the art room! ❤️💙

5:30 AM practice? Arriving before everyone else to get in those extra miles? Sure. 💪

While most people are still asleep, these Elks are putting in the work! Every run, every mile, and every early morning is building stronger, faster, and tougher runners.

We’re excited to see our Elks back on the field and continuing to work hard as we prepare for the season! 💪🏈
