Every trumpet player eventually notices the same thing... The lacquer wears through right where the hand sits.

The Faxx leather valve guard help stop this. Premium leather with a Velcro closure that goes on in a few seconds, so a student will actually use it instead of leaving it in the case.

It is the kind of thing a horn player wishes someone had told them about two years earlier!

The most overlooked item in a case is usually the simplest one.

A polish cloth costs almost nothing and protects an instrument every single day. Fingerprints, moisture, and handling oils are what dull a finish over a school year, and thirty seconds with the right cloth at the end of rehearsal prevents most of it.

Use the treated cloth for silver plate, untreated for lacquer. Both styles are soft brushed, washable, reusable, and assembled by our team in Elkhart.

Each card puts multiple cuts in the same strength side by side, so a player finds out what works on their mouthpiece before committing to a full box.

The Bb Clarinet card pairs 56 rue Lepic, V12, and V21 for students moving past Traditional. The Jazz cards run V16, Java Red, Java Green, and ZZ, bright to dark in a single purchase.

Band camps are a special kind of hard.

The directors who ran sectionals in the heat, the staff who hauled water and equipment and props all week, the parents who worked the shade tent (or in Tim's case, helped haul a full trailer of equipment!), and the students who learned an entire opener while soaked through their shirts. All of it happens before the school year even officially starts!

Behind The Scenes at American Way!

Every sheet of Luthiers Choice tape is die cut, and is separated by hand, strip by strip, right here in Elkhart. Our team counts and bags each strip with the instruction sheet before the pack ever reaches your shelf.

Four markers per instrument, so a 24 piece pack outfits 6 students, a 48 piece pack outfits 12, and a 100 piece pack covers a full classroom of 25. Multiple colors so teachers can code positions however they teach them.

It is thin, it stays put through a semester, and it comes off clean when the student outgrows first position.
