Last week, as we began our first full week of school, our students gathered for chapel, a meaningful time to worship together, open God’s Word, and grow in faith.

Our secondary students heard from Pastor Whidden about being rooted in truth and what forms us. In a world filled with entertainment and endless opinions, we were reminded: “Read your Bible!” Let God’s Word be what fills and shapes us.

Our elementary students learned from our Spiritual Life Director about being rooted and built up in our faith, with the reminder that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

What a powerful way to begin the school year rooted in Christ and growing together!

One week down, and our hearts are full!

There is something so special about seeing our hallways come alive again with the energy of our students, the smiles of our families, and the dedication of our staff. It has been pure joy to welcome everyone back and begin this new year together.

As we look ahead to all God has in store, we are focusing on Colossians 2:6–7 to walk in Christ, be rooted and built up in Him, and overflow with gratitude.

We’re excited for the lessons we’ll learn, the memories we’ll make, and most importantly, the ways we’ll see God move in our ECA community.

Here’s to a great year ahead as we focus on being rooted in Christ and growing together!

As we prepare for a new school year, our ECA team gathered to welcome both returning and new staff. It was a joy to reconnect, share stories from the summer, and build new relationships.
Our superintendent introduced this year’s theme, “Rooted” from Colossians 2:6-7, encouraging us to remain firmly grounded in Christ despite life’s distractions. He connected the theme to ECA’s vision, mission, and core values of Discipleship, Scholarship, and Partnership, reminding us of our shared commitment to students’ spiritual and academic growth.
We also reflected on ECA’s 53-year story, celebrating God’s faithfulness and the impact He has made through this ministry. As stewards of ECA, we are grateful for all He has done and excited for what lies ahead.
Here’s to a year of being deeply rooted in Christ as we lead, serve, and grow together!

Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating you the 50th graduating class of ECA. It was a bittersweet evening as we listened to each of you share your journey at ECA, how God has worked in your life, and your plans for the future.

One of the most meaningful themes of the evening was the reminder of how to love to love God wholeheartedly, to love others selflessly, and to live with grace, compassion, and humility. As you move into this next season, may you continue to be known by the way you love and reflect Christ to those around you.

Thank you for being authentically you and for allowing God to use your time at ECA to grow in faith, character, and purpose. We are grateful for the unique gifts and talents you brought to ECA community.

As you step into this next chapter, our prayer is that you will continue to lead, serve, and give God the glory in all that you do. We are excited to see how God will use each of you to build His Kingdom and make a difference in the lives of others.

Our Writers Club celebration was a huge success! Every elementary student proudly wrote and published a book, and families enjoyed reading the student work displayed throughout the evening. Students explored booths with their Writer’s Night Passports, collected stamps, played games, enjoyed activities, and earned prizes. The night ended with a special award presentation celebrating our amazing young authors. Thank you to everyone who helped make Writer’s Night so memorable!
