Slocum ISD Slocum ISD takes pride in being a close-knit, family-oriented community where student achievements define success.

The school remains dedicated to equipping all students with the skills to become lifelong learners and contributing members of society. The Slocum Independent School District has been meeting the educational needs of the children in Southeast Anderson County since the latter 1800s. Located in a rural area on State Highway 294, Slocum High School and Slocum Elementary School have a combined enrollment of approximately 320 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve.
