This week, our kindergartners explored the story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25–37. Together, they talked about the man who was hurt, the people who passed him by, and the one who chose to stop and show compassion. They made connections to their own lives and the many opportunities they have to love their neighbors as Jesus teaches them.
With worship music filling their classroom, the children explored a simple but meaningful question: what does love look like? 🎨
The result was a beautiful collection of artwork, each piece as unique as the child who created it. Through their individual expressions, the children shared their own perspectives on love, offering a glimpse into their hearts and the meaning they found in this experience.
What a beautiful reminder that children are capable of such thoughtful, meaningful expression when given the space to wonder, reflect, and create. Their artwork reminds us that love is more than something we say; it is something we do. Through kindness, compassion, helping hands, and welcoming hearts, we have opportunities every day to reflect the love of Jesus to those around us.
With the work displayed outside of our kindergarten classroom, may it serve as a reminder to all of us to slow down, see one another, and love our neighbors well. ❤️
