During circle time in Plymouth, our preschoolers read "The Gruffalo" by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. This book was full of rhyming words and we loved the vivid descriptions of the Gruffalo in the book. After, to continue working on rhyming words and being able to identify them, we listened and sang to classic nursery rhymes.

For math, all the friends sat at the same table and matched dominos into groups depending on the number of dots on them, this helped us learn counting, sorting, sharing, and helping each other!

For a fun activity after all our learning, we played with playdoh for National Playdoh Day!

In honor of National Do Something Nice Day, the infants at our Warsaw center made pumpkin muffins (with plenty of help from their teachers) to share some fall kindness! 🎃🧡

🎃 What a night at Garden of Villains! 🎃

On Saturday, our Growing Kids team joined the trick-or-treat fun at Wellfield Gardens in Elkhart, and hundreds of kiddos walked through our "Inside Out"-themed bus! 🚌✨

Our staff dressed as every emotion from the movie, so there was plenty of Joy, a little Fear, some Disgust at all the candy we didn't get to eat, and zero Sadness, because it was a blast! 💛💙💚❤️💜

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and a huge thank you to Wellfield Gardens for hosting such a magical (and slightly spooky) community event. We love celebrating with our Elkhart families! 🧡

Plymouth preschoolers had a wonderful day of learning!

During circle time, we read Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Erin Litwin. After the story, our friends explored three fun learning stations.

At the first table, friends talked about the story and practiced retelling it while drawing their own pictures of Pete the Cat.

At the second table, children explored triangles, circles, and squares. They discussed the characteristics of each shape, went on a shape scavenger hunt, and then had fun creating their own designs with the circular snowflake toys.

At the third table, friends worked on putting together puzzles. Some chose to work independently, while others worked together. Through this activity, they practiced their concentration and problem-solving skills.

We love watching our Preschool friends learn, explore, create, and work together!

Today we brought Dr. Seuss’s Ten Apples Up On Top! to life with our own stackable “apples”! 📚✨

Our rice-filled balloons were soft, moldable, and just sticky enough to make them perfect for stacking, counting, and getting creative. Some friends stacked apples on their heads like the characters in the book, while others built towers on the table! 🍎🧠

The preschoolers at our Warsaw center soaked up the crisp air today, and they had a blast! 🌤️🏃

Outdoor time gives little learners so much:
🌳 Room to run, climb, and burn off energy
🧠 Fresh air that helps them focus and feel their best
🤝 Chances to play together and build friendships
🔍 Nature to explore, discover, and wonder about

Whether it's sunny, breezy, or a little chilly, getting outside is an important part of our day. Bundled up and full of giggles is our favorite way to learn! 😄

Happy National Play-Doh Day! 🌈💛

At our Goshen center, every class celebrated by making their very own play dough from scratch! 🥣✨

The kiddos got to:
🎨 Mix in food coloring and watch the colors swirl and change
✨ Explore different types of sprinkles and textures
👐 Squish, roll, pinch, and poke to their heart's content

Play dough might look like just fun, but it's packed with learning! Kids build fine motor strength, practice creativity, explore cause and effect, and even get a little science and color mixing in. 🔬🧠

Days like today are what Growing Kids is all about: hands-on, joyful learning that helps little ones grow. 🌱
