Progress is being made in drying out and separating documents from the time capsule. Andrew has spent several hours trying to salvage and recover as much as possible! Not everything can be saved because of the conditions we found them in.

As soon as he has finished this task, we will contact families to retrieve their items. Please be patient!

The Betterment committee will meet on Tuesday, July 14th at 7:00 at the Cory home. (811 N Grant Ave). This will be a meeting to recap the city festival and make plans for future events. Adult beverages will be served.

As we try to add new things every year, we will continue to need more volunteers and committee members. We hope that you will consider joining us. It’s a great way to serve your community!

Can bins will be picked up tonight, if you have any can bags in your garage you can still drop them off in/near the bins tonight before 6:00pm! *Committee members reminder - we'll be bagging cans Tuesday night at Emily Jaeger's house at 6:30

3 can bins have been set out along Railroad Ave for the 2026 Elkhart City Festival. Feel free to fill these up any time this week with cans or bottles. Please no trash or glass containers of any kind.
