Our little sensory explorers had the BEST morning! πŸ₯°πŸͺž They started with some visual magic tracking the soft blue yarn dangling in front of the mirror and discovering their reflections and our cute little ghost friends πŸ‘»πŸŽƒ, lots of reaching, grasping, and sweet babble conversations with themselves. Then we brought on the sparkle ✨ with our squishy red, blue & silver glitter sensory bags β€” perfect for patting, poking, squeezing, and strengthening those fine motor and eye-hand coordination skills πŸ™ŒπŸ‘€. We finished by cooling down with our chilly glitter ice cube play πŸ§ŠπŸ’š, feeling the cold, watching it melt and slip, and uncovering the green glitter hiding inside β€” such a fun way to explore temperature, texture, cause & effect, and pure wonder!

Making a rocket name craft is a fantastic way for Pre-K children to practice tracing letters while developing fine motor and spatial awareness skills. By breaking a name down into individual letters that form the body of a rocket, children get a visual and hands-on representation of how letters come together to build their identity.

Three main things are happening while having fun with bubbles! Visual tracking occurs and improves depth perception and eye muscles. Oral and speech development occurs when blowing bubbles, this trains the mouth, jaw and lip muscles needed for clear speech and breath control. Cognitive growth occurs after they pop the bubbles, learning the concept of β€œcause and effect!” This is a great way to learn and grow while playing!
