🍎 We don’t just play - we learn through play at Wonder Seeds! 🌱
Today, our little learners went APPLE PICKING! 🍏🍎 But this simple activity was doing much more than keeping little hands busy.
As our children searched for apples, reached, grasped, picked, carried their baskets, and collected their finds, they were strengthening:
🍎 Fine & gross motor skills — reaching, grasping, bending, carrying and coordinating movements
🧠 Cognitive development — searching, problem-solving, counting and making choices
🎨 Color recognition — identifying and sorting different colored apples
🗣️ Language development — learning words like apple, pick, basket, red, green, yellow, more, and all done
💛 Independence & confidence — completing a task and seeing “I did it!”
🌿 Nature & food awareness — beginning conversations about apples, trees, harvesting and where our food comes from
