We haven’t exactly kicked off our year, but the FFA is partnering with Windy Hill Compost, LLC to reduce the food waste at Exira-EHK MS/HS. So far this week has been extremely successful!!

The GREAT Iowa State Fair!!

We have three friendly Exira-EHK members serving as grandstand ushers and helpers at the fair. Be sure to be on the look out for Leah, Kaitlyn and Chet! Today Chet and Leah also showed theirs Market weathers in the FFA Show and recorded blue ribbons!!

Although she isn’t “technically” an FFA member YET our Chapter wants to congratulate Paisley Hansen who represented Shelby County and the Elk Horn Explorers 4-H club. Paisley exhibited the Champion Breeding Doe and the Reserve Champion Market Goat at the elite Best of the West Showdown. More impressively, Paisley recieved Showmanship with her doe. Paisley and her doe will now advance to the All Iowa Showdown! She is going to be one to watch as she continues to work hard and grow her passion for the agriculture industry! We are so proud of you, Paisley! Congratulations!!

Huge congratulations to Leah Boysen! She is 2nd Runner Up for the Shelby County Fair Queen contest! Leah will be representing our FFA Chapter and the Spartan Community this weekend at the Shelby County Fair.
