Massage doesn’t have to hurt to be effective.

A lot of people believe the “no pain, no gain” idea when it comes to massage. But in reality, muscles release tension best when the body feels safe and relaxed. When pressure is too intense, muscles can actually tighten up to protect themselves.

Massage should help your body unwind — not fight through pain.

Communication during your session is always welcome. If pressure feels too strong or too light, speak up so your massage can work with your body, not against it.
